This design process was a first for us, and we’re proud of how it turned out. Some of the cool features include:

Device recognition. Accessing the site is simple. Thanks to device recognition, there’s no need for bank customers to memorize a separate web address. In addition, we designed the mobile version of the site to be visually appealing and functional, whether it is accessed from an Android phone, a Blackberry, or an iPhone.

Concise, drop-down menus. Mobile users can access any portion of the site from Personal Banking to Investment Services in a single window. This cuts down on load times and keeps you in the same browser window, eliminating the need for constantly going back and forth between windows.

Quick contact information. We also added the ability to call River City Bank right from the webpage. Rather than searching through an entire menu for contact information, it’s right there at your fingertips.

Custom Design. Our designer expanded on the same theme of the web version, giving the mobile site continuity and reinforcing the bank’s brand image.

We had a lot of fun designing the mobile version of this site. Check out all of these seamless features by visiting River City Bank Online from your mobile device.

Despite mixed reviews and some skepticism, we’ve decided to put our money where our mouth is and invest in mobile technology based on the principles of open source software.

Google’s Android OS boasts great potential for application development and is a great tool for us multitaskers with multiple windows and fast movement between layers. At least, these are the reasons we decided to give it a try.

And thanks to one well designed app, this is the first web update made entirely from the G1.
