Sarah took the scenic route to her position as a web designer. Her first career was in journalism, working for nearly 12 years at the local paper, the Rome News-Tribune. But while she was spending her days interviewing, writing and editing, she was spending her evenings learning about online design.
According to Sarah, the best thing about designing web sites is starting from scratch with a blank document, typing some HTML and CSS, and making something work. Sarah enjoys learning new things, from working in Photoshop and InDesign to utilizing new content management systems. She tries to learn at least one new technique with each website she builds.
She also appreciates the relative peace and quiet of computer work; when she goes home each night she’s greeted by four dogs, including a very hyperactive Irish setter.
